Dan Kirk, The Juggler With The Yellow Shoes, is a Christian, a comedian, a husband, a father, an entertainer, a fisherman, a speaker, an ex stilt-walker, a balloon guy, a lover, a unicyclist, a teacher, a plate spinner, and a jack of all juggling, master of fun!
He began performing professionally in 1989. And he started performing full-time in January 1993. Dan has performed in fifteen states across the nation. He’d love to visit you!
Dan learned to juggle golf balls in the basement of the neighbors house when he was 16 years old. He went home and began to practice on a regular basis. He graduated from golf balls to tennis balls. They don’t hurt nearly as much. Within the week he was making over 100 catches with 3 balls before messing up.

Although hard to believe when you see him today, Dan was terrified of being in the spot light. Reading a two sentence prayer in front of his own family at Christmas would cause Dan so much anxiety that he could barely get through it.
Since Dan wasn’t a performer yet, he needed the college experience. He studied chemistry and math. Nothing funny to say about that. Although terrifying, Dan had to take a speech class in college. Much to his surprise he received A+’s on his speeches. One comment he received by a teacher was, “You’d make a great public speaker!” With that in mind, he went on to get a degree in graphic arts.
God’s plan for Dan didn’t involve being alone in a chem lab doing experiments or working as a graphic artist like Dan originally thought. Dan tried to do his own plan on his own time. After getting laid off in the graphic arts field for the third time, Dan broke down. He came back to God and asked Him what he should do with his life. God answered. Really. Just three words, “BE A JUGGLER”. His plan involved being in front of a lot of people creating laughter, sharing life experiences, doing silly coordination stunts, educating, and living OUT LOUD! A lot of changes had to take place in Dan to make it all happen. Luke 1:37 With God nothing shall be impossible.
Dan currently lives with his wife, Susan, and dog Bobber in Menasha, WI. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Fun Trivial Fact About Dan:
1. Dan holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
2. Dan took piano lessons for nearly 8 years as an adult.
3. Dan cried for days when he found out Twinkies and Hostess Cup Cakes were no longer going to be made. And he LOL’d when they returned.

10. Dan got an Associated Degree from Fox Valley Technical College.
11. Dan bought a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harrington University of London, England.
